Frequently asked questions

How is "per student" counted? +
We count active enrolled students at the start of each billing month. Students who leave mid-month are not charged for the following month. There is no charge for teachers or admins — only students.
What does the free trial include? +
The free trial includes full access to everything — attendance marking, WhatsApp notifications, attendance reports, and the principal dashboard — for 30 days. No credit card required to start.
Are WhatsApp notification costs included? +
WhatsApp message costs are billed at actuals — whatever Meta charges us is what we pass on to you, with zero markup. Currently approximately ₹0.12 per notification. For a school of 500 students with 95% daily attendance, this is roughly ₹1,700–1,900 per month.
Are there other plans or add-ons? +
No. There is one plan at ₹10 per student per month and every feature is included in it. Your bill changes only when your student count changes.
Do parents need to do anything? +
Nothing at all. Parents do not need to install an app, create an account, or change any settings. We send notifications directly to the WhatsApp number you provide during student registration. If a parent gets a new number, the school admin updates it in one click.
What phones do teachers need? +
Any Android phone running Android 8 or later, or any iPhone running iOS 14 or later. The app is designed to work well on budget Android devices and slow 4G connections — we know that's the reality in most Indian schools.
Is our data secure? +
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each school's data is fully isolated — no school can access another's data. Student and parent information is never shared with third parties. Our servers are hosted on enterprise infrastructure with daily backups.
Is there a contract or minimum term? +
No contracts, no minimum term. Scholar Track is month-to-month. If you're not satisfied, you can cancel at any time with no questions asked and no penalties. We earn your business every month.
